Pastor and Church Planter – Rev. Jody Stancil

Originally from Holly Springs, Ga., Jody is a graduate of the University of Georgia (2002 – Bachelor of Arts in Political Science) and Reformed Theological Seminary (2006 – Master of Divinity) in Orlando, Florida. Ordained as a Teaching Elder in the Northwest Georgia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Jody served as the Associate Pastor of Grace Church for 6 years and as a church planting apprentice with Christ Community Church in Acworth, Ga. prior to moving to Cartersville. Jody is married to his wife Julie and they have three children. The Stancils moved to Cartersville in the summer of 2013 to begin networking and gathering a core group that has become the foundation for Riverside Community Church, which launched in the Fall of 2014.
Riverside Officers and Staff
Riverside is primarily staffed by a group of faithful and generous volunteers. Our church is governed by our Session, which consists of our Pastor/Teaching Elder and our Ruling Elders. Our Deacons serve our church body by meeting physical needs in our congregation and those in our surrounding community.
