Throughout the month of May, we are are going to be in a new sermon series highlighting the the signs or the miracles of Jesus according to the Gospel writer John. It is interesting that John calls these amazing demonstrations of Jesus’ power “signs,” because that means they are here to point us to something. The question is…what exactly do they point us to? Why, before each sign, does Jesus make strange (and even offensive) comments? Why does He seem to make people wait before answering their requests? Why does Jesus perform the miracles in the way that He does? We will be answering these questions as we look at each miracle, as well as seeing how they point us to the cross.
